Who are WaSSP?

The Warrington School Sport Partnership comprises of two School Games Organiser areas hosted by Beamont Collegiate Academy and Lymm High School. WaSSP organises and develops competitive school sport activities; leadership training and opportunities for children and young people and the development of physical activities for the least physically active through the use of the Change4Life Club programme.

Who do WaSSP work with?

Warrington School Sport Partnership works with many organisations including Livewire, Warrington Wolves Foundation, Everton Football Academy, Public Health England, Warrington Borough Council, National Governing Bodies of Sport, Active Cheshire and many local sports clubs from the local area.

How can a primary or secondary school get involved with WaSSP?

Most of our schools are already involved in WaSSP, however for the minority of schools that are not, please contact your relevant School Games Organiser.

Can infant schools get involved in WaSSP?

Yes they can, infant schools are not part of the School Games remit at the present moment, however we cater for all schools within the local area including infant and SEND schools and tailor their needs accordingly.

What is the PE & School Sport Membership?

The membership package is a partnership venture by Warrington School Sport Partnership, Warrington Wolves Foundation and Livewire that offers all schools access to a variety of different opportunities outside the current School Games remit. How much does the membership package cost?

The membership package is an annual subscription that cost £1700 this academic year.

When is the deadline date to sign up with WaSSP?

October 31st 2016

How do schools enter WaSSP competitions?

All schools can enter our School Games competitions through the events calendar on this website.

Can schools enter WaSSP competitions if they are not a member school?

All schools can enter our School Games competitions. Please be aware that KS1 festivals and competitions are for member schools ONLY and none member schools are unable to attend these events.

Can any child attend the WaSSP holiday camps?

Children are initially invited via their school to come to our Leadership, Gifted and Talented camps. Once children have been invited and have attended the first camp, relevant information is normally emailed out to parents and or guardians about up and coming events. Please be aware that WaSSP holiday camps are for member schools ONLY.
