Five teams took part in the Year 5 and 6 small schools football tournament held at Priestley College on the 3rd November 2016. Due to the small number of teams a league format was used with each team playing each other once to decide who would progress to the ESFA county final in January 2017.
All teams played their part in a fantastic tournament throughout the afternoon. The stand out team of the day went to St Paul of the Cross 1, who won three and drew one of their four matches and went onto top the group to qualify for the county finals, also a special mention to High Legh who will also qualify to the county finals after coming second. Priestley College allowed their Year 1 Sports students to help run the tournament and they showed excellent refereeing skills throughout. These students also showed great communication and leadership skills to help the all teams during the day.
Fixtures, results and table standings of the competition can be found below.
